Cognitech, Inc. Announces the October 2012 Forensic Video-Audio Certification Training Course
Pasadena, CA, — May 31, 2012—Cognitech, Inc. has announced the upcoming Forensic Video-Audio Certification Training Course, to be held at the Pasadena Convention Center, in Pasadena, CA, on October 8-October 12, 2012. The 40 hour Forensic Video Certification Training Course is for current and future end-users of Cognitech’s forensic video enhancement, audio processing, and 3D analysis Tri-Suite software system.
Cognitech’s Forensic Video-Audio Tri-Suite software system is comprised of three interoperable, comprehensive software tool sets: the Video Investigator® software, the VideoActive® software and the AutoMeasure™ software. Cognitech’s Video Investigator software is the most comprehensive forensic video/image processing software environment in the world. It has over one hundred proprietary designed, user friendly plug-ins that enhance, denoises, remove blur, super-resolve, stabilize and stitch panoramic images of forensic video evidence (e.g. faces, license plates, vehicles). Cognitech’s U.S. patented VideoActive software is the first fully automatic real-time universal de-multiplexing software. It includes a real-time track and cover and real-time universal DVR capture. Cognitech’s VideoActive software allows for patented lossless video capture with encoding that doubles the video storage. Cognitech’s AutoMeasure software is the world’s first automatic forensic photogrammetry software that allows the user to perform accurate bio-metric measurements of the dimensions of a person (e.g. human body measurements), as well as crime scene measurements and geo-spatial crime scene analysis, which is only available in Cognitech’s software. As Cognitech’s software and hardware tools advance, so does the Training Course. The new training elements will include acquisition of the digitally recorded HD/SD/VGA video and associated audio with a new CogniUniversal acquisition hardware board. There is no single piece of hardware on the market that can acquire more video formats under more encoding scenarios than this breakthrough, forensically-dedicated proprietary Cognitech hardware. The participants of the October 2012 Training Course, will be the first to be exposed to the recently integrated audio capabilities which enable a simultaneous video and audio processing operation.
Cognitech, Inc. CEO Dr. Lenny Rudin said, in regards to the training, “You look around and see people doing the same thing year in, year out. Same basic products, same basic training. I guess it makes for good business, as very little is needed to be changed, and ‘’no new stuff’ means no new expenses in R&D, just ”marketing innovations.” Yet, the practice of our forensic discipline puts new and unsolved problems in front of us. This is what motivates Cognitech’s engineers and scientists, solving new problems, pushing the envelope of what is possible. As long as we do this, each successive Training Course is an exciting learning adventure, even for those who came to this training many times before. Science and technology move on and so does the learning.
